SOFA EXPRESS EMBRACES THE NATIONS FIRST ALL “HOME FASHIONS” SHOPPING CENTER

SOFA EXPRESS EMBRACES THE NATIONS FIRST ALL “HOME FASHIONS” SHOPPING CENTER

Jeffersonville, OH - These two concepts together are just the ticket. Sofa Express is the largest tenant to sign a lease with Greg Boyle, president of The Boyle Group, a Malvern, PA-based development firm for the new HomeWorks in Jeffersonville, dedicated entirely to products for your home.

Sofa Express has signed on with the largest space HomeWorks has offered. A 30,000 square foot, anchor store. This store is slated to open October 1.

In 1959, Townsend Quinn and his wife, Jane, founded Sofa Express in Columbus, Ohio under the name Westgate Furniture. Sofa Express is unique among furniture stores in several ways. Among them: Merchandise is in stock for next day delivery on virtually every upholstered piece they display. These services, implemented in 1989, remain unique in the furniture world today and have resulted in Sofa Express becoming one of the fastest growing furniture stores in the country. Currently, Sofa Express has more then 55 stores in Ohio.

HomeWorks is the brain child of Gregory Boyle. This concept is felt to be timely because the American home is the #1 driver of the US economy according to the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). This past week Lowe’s announced profits were up 23% and Home Depot followed with the announcement; their numbers are up by 12.7%. HomeWorks, is a 315,000 sq. ft. outdoor center that is totally dedicated to home related retailers in categories such as wallpaper, furniture, baby furniture, closets, appliances, gardening, sunrooms, bedding, picture frames and the list goes on. So, will Boyle’s “Value Driven Home Themed Shopping Venue” concept create a buzz and be the next big thing in retail? Based on the number of retailers who are flocking to get space at HomeWorks and the strength of the housing market, HomeWorks seems to be well positioned to satisfy a market that is hungry for a convenient, lifestyle-focused shopping experience.

The federal government has just disclosed that 1.8 million new homes were sold in the United States, in July. This number has not been equaled since 1986.

“With all the media support and phone calls we receive, look for more announcements in the coming days” remarked Melissa Freeman, Marketing Director for HomeWorks at their August 21, open house.

HomeWorks is located on Route 41 and Interstate 71, exit 69. For more information call 740-426-6991 or for leasing information the phone number at The Boyle Group is 800-513-2650.

New Bruehl U.S. Website Offers Custom Built Sofas with a Few Clicks of the Mouse

By Anonymous

Richmond, VA November 20, 2003 – Design Intershop/Bruehl North America is launching a new website, www.bruehlus.com, to cater to its North American customers. The new website will feature 577 different furniture items available in 255 fabrics and leathers, totaling over 100,000 product options. A sofa creator tool implemented into the site enables the customer to create his or her own sofa, chair or sofa bed in any Bruehl fabric or leather. The website also makes Bruehl information more easily accessible to bruehl retailers and potential bruehl retailers. Company news and updates, designer information, product detail pages, pricing, quick ship items, a bruehl dealer locator, and brochure requests are included in the comprehensive site.

A challenge with over 100,000 products available on www.bruehlus.com is organizing the Bruehl line in a concise way. The sofa creator tool offers the solution, making it easy for customers to view and select items. The Bruehl line is broken up into categories: Advance Collection, Innovative Designs, New Classic Selection, Sofa Beds, Recliners & Loungers, and Side Tables. These categories include the furniture designs, each having several seating options. The seating options are available in a selection of fabrics and leathers. The customer uses the sofa creator to select their sofa model, their seating option, and their fabric or leather preference. A chart on the right side of the web page shows the customer’s selection. Once the customer has selected their piece of furniture, they can add it to the basket and continue shopping for other pieces in the same fashion, or check out.

New products, Bruehl in the press, and other company news are available on www.bruehlus.com. A quick-ship feature provides quick access to products that are in stock and ready to ship from the Bruehl North America warehouse in Richmond, Virginia. A Bruehl dealer locator shows customers where they can find their closest retailer. Buttons on each product page link to more images and detailed information about that item. Brochure requests can also be made.

The significance of having over 100,000 upholstered furniture options on one user-friendly website relates to the recent homing trend that has been prevalent in the interior design and architectural community over the last few years. Spending time at home is facilitated in two ways with www.bruehlus.com. While shopping online from the comfort of one’s own home, the customer selects and purchases furnishings to make their home more comfortable and stylish.

Design Intershop/Bruehl North America is the exclusive importer of the German made Bruehl line into North America. Thomas Wuestefeld is the CEO of the company and has been successful at making the entire Bruehl line of sofas, sofa beds, and chairs available to the North American market for the last three years. “The Bruehl product line, our outstanding service, including dealer visits and in depth sales training sessions, and our selection of in stock Bruehl models at our Richmond, Virginia warehouse are all key to establishing a successful dealer network and customer base. The new www.bruehlus.com takes our service one step further for our retailers, potential retailers, interior design clients, and end customers by showing the entire Bruehl seating and fabric collection on one easy-to-use website. The Bruehl U.S. site is unique in comparison with the many contemporary furniture vendor websites that only include a few images of the products and contact information to the company. The sofa creator is a unique approach to online furniture shopping. With a few clicks of a mouse, a custom-built sofa is created and ordered. The www.bruehlus.com incorporates the entire Bruehl line into one place where customers and retailers can learn about the products in detail,” says Wuestefeld.
